PII Engineer is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle data when you use our service.
No data retention. Text you submit is processed entirely in memory (RAM) and is immediately discarded after the response is sent. We do not write your input to any disk, database, file system, or persistent storage at any point during or after processing.
All inference (Named Entity Recognition and Natural Language Inference) runs locally on our own server. Your data is never sent to any external API, cloud AI service, or third-party processor. We do not use OpenAI, Google, AWS, or any other external service to process your text.
We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, analytics services, or any form of user identification. We do not collect IP addresses, browser fingerprints, or usage patterns. There are no user accounts or login systems. We have no way to identify who is using the service.
Our server logs contain only operational metadata: HTTP status codes, response times, and error codes. Input text is never included in logs. Logs are retained for a maximum of 7 days for debugging purposes and are automatically deleted after that period.
Our server is hosted on DigitalOcean in the Singapore (SGP1) region. All data processing occurs within this single server. Data does not leave this server or cross jurisdictional boundaries during processing.
All connections are encrypted with TLS (HTTPS). The server runs on dedicated infrastructure with automatic security updates. Access to the server is restricted to SSH key-based authentication only.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date below. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any changes.
If you have questions about this privacy policy or our data practices, contact us at techadmin@pilotpulse.ai.

By using PII Engineer, you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
PII Engineer is a free, web-based tool that detects personally identifiable information (PII) in text using machine learning models. The service provides entity detection (NER) and optional verification (NLI) to identify potential PII leaks.
This service is provided "as-is" without any warranties, express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of PII detection results. False positives (flagging non-PII as PII) and false negatives (missing actual PII) may occur.
PII Engineer is a detection tool, not a substitute for professional legal, compliance, or data protection advice. Results should not be relied upon as the sole basis for regulatory compliance decisions under PDPA, GDPR, CCPA, or any other data protection legislation.
You are solely responsible for: (a) the text you submit to the service, (b) ensuring you have the right to process that text, (c) how you use the detection results, and (d) compliance with all applicable data protection laws in your jurisdiction.
You agree not to: (a) use the service for any unlawful purpose, (b) attempt to reverse-engineer, disassemble, or extract the underlying models, (c) use automated tools to make excessive requests that degrade service quality for others, or (d) misrepresent the service's output as certified or legally binding.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service — including but not limited to damages from undetected PII, data breaches, or regulatory penalties.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without prior notice or liability. We do not guarantee uptime or availability. Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance may occur.
We may update these terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon being posted. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
For questions about these terms, contact us at techadmin@pilotpulse.ai.
